For the first time in Kazakhstan, the training of experts in ISO standards on climate change is taking place.
The organizers of the training are the Scientific and Educational Center “Green Academy” together with the Ministry of Integration and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the OECD and the EBRD.
The training will be conducted by experts from the specialized consulting company «Aequilibria» founded by Mr. Daniele Pernigotti (Italy).
Leading experts in the field of carbon regulation of state bodies, oil and gas, mining companies and universities of the country were selected as participants.
At the training, participants will learn about the implementation of ISO standards for assessing the carbon footprint (ISO 14067), the carbon footprint of an organization (ISO 14064-1), as well as the verification and validation of greenhouse gas emissions (ISO 14064-3, ISO 14065, ISO 17029).
On November 14 at 9:00 a.m., the official opening of the training will take place with the participation of Mr. Kuanysh Yelikbaev, Chairman of the Technical Regulation Committee of MTI, Mr. William Thompson, Head of the Eurasian Branch of the OECD, Mr. Huseyin Ozhan, Director of the
Kazakhstan Office of the EBRD, and a member of the Green Economy Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the REC “Green Academy”, Professor Bakhyt Yessekina. The training will be held in Astana.
