SREC “Green Academy” jointly with the Ministry of Healthcare and the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources with the support Fintech4good (USA) conducted the Workshop on:“Blockchain for Sustainable Development and emission monitoring” on 24th October.
This Workshop held as part of the International exhibition of socially important IT projects Digital Health 2.0. First time in Kazakhstan participantsdiscused the use of digital technologies, including Blockchain for emissions monitoring improvement. Mr. Zulfukhar Zholdasov, Chairman of the Environmental Regulation and Monitoring Committee, Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan (MEGPR), Beibyt Yessenbayev, Director of the Digital Department, Ministry of Healthcareof Kazakhstan gave greetings to Workshop. Event was moderated by the Member of the Green Economy Council under the President of Kazakhstan, Director of SREC “Green Academy” Dr. Bakhyt Yessekina.
Mr. Alexey Shadrin, Head of Evercity LLC/“Russian Carbon” (Russia)( on-line), Dr. Seitgaly Galiyev, General Director of the “Mining Technology” Scientific Centre, Dr. Aiymgul Kerimray, PhD, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Dr. Ruslan Muratov, Expert of emission trade system were Speakers of this event.
Mr. Pondet Ananchai, Executive Director of the “Greenovation Institute” (Thailand), Dr. Askar Nauryzbayev, Professor from Eurasia – L.Gumilev University, Ms. Assel Dzhartybayeva from Statistics Committee of the Ministry of the National Economy (MNE) participated to the discussion Session.
Representatives of MEGPR, MNE of Kazakhstan, representatives from the Embassy of USA, Embassy of Finland, International IT University, Almaty Energy and Communication University, other ministries and agencies of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of business companies and NGOs took part in this Workshop.
At the conclusion, recommendations have been made to the Government of Kazakhstan on the use of Blockchain for sustainable development and improvement of emission monitoring.
