The Scientific and Educational Center “Green Academy”, together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and with the support of the OECD/SIPA/IDDRI (France) project, will hold an Expert Seminar on the topic “Improving Climate Legislation for Carbon Investment in Kazakhstan” on September 12, 2025, in Astana, within the framework of the Working Group meeting on amendments to the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the event is to discuss proposals for amending the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to enhance carbon investment.

Participants will include members of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of government agencies, representatives of the World Bank, the Delegation of the European Union, OECD, AFD, as well as international and national experts, academics, business associations, and NGOs.
