On April 26, 2023, in Astana at the JSC “Astana Energy” an on-site practical training was held for invited experts from the personnel certification body at the REC “Green Academy”.

The participants of the training were representatives of the National Mining Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev University, ENU. L.N. Gumilyov, KATU named after S.Seifullin, KTZh JSC, NC Mining Technology LLP, EnergoExpert and K LLP, Kazakhstan Utility Systems LLP, and Centergeolanalit LLP and other organizations.

As part of the training, the following were visited: Department of Environmental Protection (Environmental Protection); production and technical department (PTO); metrological department, quality department, fuel and transport, boiler, and hot water boiler shops; oil farm, and a chemical laboratory.

During the training, the participants were introduced to the practical preparation of a plan for monitoring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reporting in the field of GHG validation and verification. As a result of the training, a round table was held with the participants, representatives of the training center “GreenOrda” and the department of environmental protection of JSC “Astana Energy” on the problems of GHG validation and verification.
