On April 17, 2023, with the expert support of the NCA TRMC RK by support EBRD and OECD  the first in the Asia-Pacific region body for the conformity of personnel in the field of validation and verification of greenhouse gases was accredited on the basis of the REC “Green Academy” (hereinafter referred to as CAB-P).

The main mission of the CAB-P is to assist the authorized bodies – the MENR RK and the NCA in the field of professional development of specialists in the field of validation and verification of greenhouse gases by organizing their certification in accordance with the ISO 14066-2016 standard. The activities of the CAB-P will be delivered by well-known international experts in the field of carbon regulation, including experts from the EBRD, CEPAS, Aeaquilibria (Italy). The members of the examination committee at the CAB-P are represented by experienced specialists recommended by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” in the field of energy, oil and gas, mining and metallurgical, chemical and manufacturing industries and who have passed professional training in the field of carbon management, accredited by CEPAS. Certification of existing and newly trained experts in the field of validation and verification of greenhouse gases is planned to be carried out in accordance with the approved procedures and work schedule of the CAB-P.
