September 20, 2019 at the Almaty University of Energy and Communications (AUEC) named after G.Daukeev, Almaty, a Round table hold on the topic “Discussion of the draft of the new Ecological Code of Kazakhstan” within the framework of the implementation of the Message of the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, organized with the support of the Green Academy SREC and the GIZ project.

Purpose of the event: discussion and development of recommendations for the draft Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in particular, chapters related to environmental regulation.

The round table attended by: Sagintayeva S.S. – Rector of AUEC, Yesekina B.K. – Member of “Green” Economy Council under the President of Kazakhstan, Director of the SREC “Green Academy”, Temeshev A.S. – Deputy Head of “Management of the green economy” Akimat of the Almaty city, Zikrina Z. Program “SWITCHASIAII, GIZ, Ni V. – Chairman of the Ecological Forum of public organizations of Kazakhstan, Baimaganova A. – International Center for Green Technology, Atymtayev O. – UNEP, Representative from ESCATO, as well as other representatives of leading universities and research institutes of Almaty.

Following the results of the round table recommendations adopted and will be sent to the Ministry of ecology, geology and natural resources.
