The training on carbon management standards ended in Astana.

From November 14 to November 18, 2022, the First professional training on standards was held in Astana, organized by the REC “Green Academy” together with the Technical Regulation Committee of MTI, with the support of the SIPA project of the OECD and the EBRD in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The training was moderated by the Member of the Green Economy Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the Green Academy Research and Education Center, Professor Bakhyt Yessekina.

The training was conducted by experts from the specialized consulting company Aequilibria, founded by Daniele Pernigotti (Italy).

Leading experts in the field of carbon regulation of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ASPIR, MTI, MNE, Samruk-Kazyna JSC, KTZ JSC, KAZENERGY, oil and gas and mining companies and universities of the country took part in the training.

The training participants got acquainted with the COP-27 solutions in the field of ISO carbon standards, with the methodology for assessing the carbon footprint (ISO 14067), organizations (ISO 14064), validating greenhouse gas emissions (ISO 14064-3, ISO 14065, ISO 17029) and development prospects new ISO standards.

Training participants who successfully passed the test and oral exam will receive certificates accredited by CEPAS / ISO 17024.
