Scientific and Educational Center “GREEN ACADEMY”, Narxoz University and Environmental Investment Center (Russia) were the Оrganizers of the event.

Purpose of the event is to discuss international experience in the development of “green universities”, as well as to develop recommendations for modernization of the Sustainable Development Strategy of JSC “Narxoz”.

Following Speakers made presentations: Dr. Brendan Duprey, Director of the Sustainable Kazakhstan Research Institute Narxoz University, Dr. Sergey Bobylev, Moscow  State University (Russia), Dr. Mikhail Yulkin, Director General, Environmental Investment Center, expert at the International Center for Sustainable Energy Development under the auspices of UNESCO (Russia), Dr. Alina Averchenkova, Distinguished Policy Fellow of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, London School of Economics (UK), Dr. Ivano Iannelli, CEO, Dubai Carbon Centre for Excellence ( UAE), Dr. Irina Tikhonova, Head of the Program Green Universities of Russia, Mr. Vlastimil Samek UN Department of Public Information Representative, Kazakhstan, Ms. Meirgul Alpysbayeva, Education National Professional Officer at the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan

Webinar was attended by Heads and Professors of higher educational establishments of Kazakhstan, including Narhoz University, KIMEP, AUES, KAZNU, Turan and other organizations. As a result of the Webinar, the following recommendations were accepted, which were proposed by Dr. Bakhyt Yesekina, Director of SEC GREEN ACADEMY.
